2023 HIAWATHA JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
The Hiawatha Junior Golf Academy is an excellent opportunity to introduce the next generation to the game of golf! The objective of the program is to teach young golfers the fundamentals of golf through lessons and on-course activities. Providing students with hands-on experience helps to expand each golfers knowledge of the game’s rules and etiquette. Throughout the program, all golfers will be engaging in fun activities & competitions that will help to develop each aspect of their game!
FUNdamentals
(Boys & Girls ages 5-9)
This course in an excellent way to introduce your child to the game of game. Students will learn & practice the fundamentals of the golf swing, and also be taught proper golf course ettiquite. This course is filled with many fun games and exercises which makes it a perfect fit for the young or new golfer. Students will also have the chance to play on the course during the final week of the program.
Time: 8:00-9:00
Dates: Two week program June 6-8 & June 20-22
Cost: $50.00 per student
LEARN TO PLAY
(Boys & Girls ages 10-13)
This course is designed to help young golfers further prepare themsleves for playing on the golf course. Students will be introduced to the rules of the game as well as practice various situations that they may encounter while out playing. The goal of this course is to give each student the basic fundamentals and knowledge to be able to play golf successfully by themselves.
Time: 10:00-11:00am
Dates: Two week program June 6-8 & June 20-22
Cost: $50.00 per student
PLAY TO IMPROVE
(Boys & Girls 13+)
This course further continues to develop each golfer’s levels of ability and knowledge. We will put a greater focus on technique as well as provide drills that the students will be able to use on their own to improve their game. Throughout the two weeks, students will participate in fun & competitive games and drills that are designed to help take their game to the next level. The final week of the program will have time set aside for the students to play as well as practice various situations on the golf course.
Time: 1-2pm *Some days may be longer due to playing opportunities.
